This tour starts facing the front of the room (look
for the yellow railing) and moves clockwise.
The Filler is at the front of this area hiding just behind the red tool box.
The bottles leave the Filler and Crowner and head to the Labeler
which is the large silver machine that dominates the frame as you rotate to
the right. Our labeler applies the body and neck labels to the bottle and is
capable of labeling up to 550 bottles per minute. Just past the Labeler you
can make out a small gray box. This is our Level Detector
which verifies that every bottle has a full 12 ounces of beer in it. After
passing the Level Detector, the bottles make a big right-hand turn and head
to the Case Packer. This is the long tan
colored machine across from the Labeler. The Case Packer is where the
bottles are separated into four rows and then dropped into empty cases
waiting on the conveyor below. If you rotate your view back to the left, you
can see the lower conveyor heading toward the back of the room, and that is
where we will head next. |
